This new maneuver extends a political fight that led to the closure of the commission for a day last year and could lead to another shutdown. The Texas Greyhound Association sued the Commission Monday in Cameron County and received a temporary restraining order late that afternoon preventing Tuesday’s vote, which possibly could have stripped all references to historical racing from the commission’s rulebook.
