The TGA represents Texas greyhound breeders in all matters pertaining to the regulation of pari-mutuel and non pari-mutuel greyhound racing in Texas.

The TGA works with several adoption agencies in Texas and around the country, helping find homes for the retired dogs and making sure that all greyhounds are treated humanely.

 The Association maintains the Texas Bred Registry to verify the eligibility of greyhounds and owners to receive the privileges and awards associated with the legislative action brought about by the TGA
